At the heart of the city of Rabat, a few minutes from central station, at the cross-road of the capital’s diversified activities, the movie-theatre "Septième Art" is now a proposed place not to avoid by film-goers. A friendly setting downtown offering a comfortable movie-theatre which meets the most modern standards of film screening. Beside, a coffee-shop with a terrace in the shadow of century-old palms is the meeting point for exchange and encounter. This movie-theatre is managed by the Moroccan Cinema Centre, a way for concretising its support and promotional effort in favour of national cinema in its diversity. This movie-theatre welcomes also the programming of other cinemas, in particular author’s cinema produced by other countries. It meets therefore the criterion of Art Cinema, introduced for the first time in Africa. Septième Art is also a place for cultural events on films arranged by NGO’s and by embassies accredited in Rabat.
