Long Film / Telefilm


For shooting a long film, the following documents are needed :

  • A request.

  • A shooting authorization form duly filled in which is available on the web site of the MCC and at the production control service (pdf file)

  • A copy of scenario.

  • A credentials letter when it concerns an executive production.

  • The list of Moroccan technicians, with the number of their professional ID, with regard to the quota stipulated in law n° 20.99 of 15 February 2001 concerning the organisation of the cinema industry :
    • 25 % of the recruited Moroccan staff out of total number of recruited staff when it concerns a foreign film.
    12 technicians, of whom 7 heads of post, when it concerns a Moroccan long film.
    12 technicians, of whom 5 heads of post, when it concerns a co-production of a long film.
    6 technicians, of whom 3 heads of post, when it concerns a telefilm.
    Work planning indicating the right shooting sites

    It is understood that the recruited staff holding the professional ID should be qualified as follows:
  • Director or first assistant director
  • Production Manager
  • Location Manager
  • Sound engineer or sound operator
  • Head sight operator or cameraman
  • Head film editor or editor
  • Art director in chief
  • Head make up artist
  • Head gaffer / Electrician
  • Head grip
  • Head wardrobe

    In all cases, any foreign recruited staff for a Moroccan film should show his or her professional ID or any qualification justifying document.

    Moroccan Film production companies shall recruit as an obligation, Moroccan trainees : one trainee for 8 recruited members holders of the professional ID card belonging to all qualifications.

    Trainees having made a prior request to MCC are those who are eligible.

    The executive production of any long film or telefilm should be insured by a Moroccan production company agreed by the MCC.

    " Executive production" means that the directing and execution of films ordered by companies not committed to Moroccan law, and performing services related to the setting up of technico crews-artistic and to arranging for film shooting by virtue of a contract concluded to this effect.

    The Application file for shooting authorization should reach the MCC 15 days at the latest before the date of the film shooting.

    The shooting authorizations are paying authorizations
